Charles Dithrich, PhD
I am a certified psychoanalyst and licensed clinical psychologist with a private practice in north Oakland, California. I provide psychoanalysis, psychoanalytic psychotherapy, and clinical supervision and consultation.
I have been in practice for more than 40 years providing treatment and psychological assessment for children, adolescents, and adults. In addition to extensive experience successfully treating anxiety, depression, trauma, dissociation, psychosis, and somatic issues, I am able to provide therapy for neuroatypical, neurodivergent, and autistic conditions based on contemporary theory and technique.
I am a core faculty member and personal and supervising analyst at the Psychoanalytic Institute of Northern California (PINC) in San Francisco. I have supervised and taught extensively for PINC.
